New Electrical Safety Standards for rented properties

The government have brought forward The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020.

This means that as a landlord or agent you will need to ensure that as of the 1st July 2020 for new tenancies and 1st April 2021 for existing tenancies that your properties have an electrical installation inspection carried out.

With this in mind it is strongly advised that if your properties do not have a current 5 year check in place that you get this implemented as soon as possible.
